The highly experienced team will lead the project, develop optimization algorithm API, facilitate stakeholder engagement and support the project with real-life testing of the AI-DOWEP prototype.

Background
The construction industry generates 137.8 million tonnes of waste annually in the UK, costing £11 billion per year. Despite regulations promoting waste reduction, manual design processes and existing tools fail to effectively address waste efficiency, leading to significant environmental and financial impacts.
Challenge
Avoidable waste arises from inefficient designs, time-consuming manual methods, and gaps in existing tools like BIM platforms and waste management systems. There's a critical need for scalable, AI-powered solutions that address waste at the design stage.
